Alligator Scute Pendant

This bone is a very functional part of the alligators anatomy.  Although alligators can not thermos-regulate, the pitted texture of this bone acts as an insulator collecting and retaining heat while the alligator basks along a bank.  Cast in 14k, Sterling Silver, and Vermeil, these plates are beautiful as earrings, a pendant, and powerful as a necklace.
