Alligator Scute Pendant Necklace

This bone is a very functional part of the alligators anatomy.  Although alligators can not thermoregulate, the pitted texture of this bone acts as an insulator collecting and retaining heat while the alligator basks along a bank.  Cast in 14k, sterling silver, and  vermeil, these plates are beautiful as earrings, a pendant, and powerful as a necklace.
